The Department is financially supported by The Danish Ministry for Cultural Affairs and proposes 30 to 40 courses, conferences, seminars and workshops every year.
The duration of the courses is from 1-6 days.
The courses are specifically aimed at various groups of professionals; please consult the course description for details.
Who can participate?
There is no need to be a graduate from The National Film School of Denmark in order to participate, but you must belong to the specific group of professionals concerned.
If not, you may be admitted on the basis of your written motivation, if it is considered relevant.
The Department is open for inspiration and suggestions for new and different courses so please feel free to contact us if you have ideas for courses, seminars, etc.
Participants from other Northern and European countries
We are pleased to receive subscriptions from film professional from abroad. Please note that the course language will be the same as that of the course description. This means that if the course description is in English then the course will be held in English.
Management
Head of Training Tina Sørensen manages The Department for Professional Training, assisted by Production Assistant Camilla Hyldal and Course Secretary Birgitte Christiansen. In addition, a large number of teachers, production assistants, etc. is employed for various periods of time.
Courses take place in the Film School cinema or at the Department’s premises on the school’s second floor with a spectacular view over the ancient boathouses and the waters of Copenhagen Harbour.
